Siglo Modern Filipino restaurant celebrates its third year anniversary by giving support and tribute to the local pineapple farmers in Tagaytay via its Pinyasarap festival.
The Siglo Sari-Sari Store started selling fresh Pineapples, Pineapple Candies, Pineapple Jam, Piñasuka (Pineapple Vinegar) and PiñaLugbati Jam (Malabar sauce) together with the other pasalubong goodies from all over the Philippines such as oyster mushroom chicharon, pancit hab-hab, jacobina, buko tarts, buko pie and even, organic plants.
Early this month, Siglo Team organized a Family Day for the local pineapple farmers and their families. Games and activities such as Kite-making and flying contest, Pineapple Relay for both adults and kids, Fellowship to establish stronger community relationship and a Boodle-fight lunch were prepared just for them. The farmers were grateful for a day of rest and camaraderie. The group now shares the hashtag #SupportPINYAFarmers.
Located just right in front of Picnic Grove, the Siglo Modern Filipino restaurant offers a gastronomic journey around the Philippines as it features the most-loved Filipino dish per region. For this month of June, they do invite foodies and gourmands to join them and enjoy the sweet and juicy Tagaytay pineapples in the Pinyasarap festival.
