Where's Marcel introduces its coffee culture to the Manila scene.
Where’s Marcel? specialty coffee and roaster from Melbourne, Australia is now brewing in Ortigas.
There is no doubt that the coffee culture in the Philippines has been evolving for the past few years. Passionate coffee aficionados will scrutinize coffee bean origins, micrlots, mini batch roasting and specialty coffee preparation equipment before even placing an order. It is quite timely then for coffee enthusiasts to have the chance to sip a new coffee drinking experience brewing at Where’s Marcel?, as Australia’s specialty coffee roaster and cafe chain opens its flagship outlet in the Philippines and their first branch outside Australia.

A Melbourne coffee company, Where’s Marcel? is now in town to bring new flavors and uniquely personalized consumer experience to Manila’s coffee fans.

THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
What’s special about Where’s Marcel? is that it puts emphasis on customer satisfaction, too. “Our focus right now is to deliver customer experience to introduce the brand, to expose the market to specialty level of coffee and unique Melbourne-style of coffee enjoyment,” says Marcel.
“Filipinos are very welcoming and they appreciate the coffee lifestyle, which makes it a very exciting opportunity for us to become part of this coffee evolution in the Philippines,” he adds.
As a brand, Where’s Marcel? is excited to offer customers a new coffee drinking experience, where the thrill of discovering new flavors can be had in a comfortable atmosphere.

CROP-TO-CUP
Where’s Marcel? prides itself on being an industry leader. Procuring 100% of its beans directly from local farmers, Where’s Marcel? is equally proud of the way its green bean buying program supports farmers across the globe in their endeavors to pursue ethically sustainable farming practices. “By directly trading with farmers, we can give back more to them,” says Marcel.

By communicating well the story of the beans, starting from ethical farming and sourcing up to the brewing processes, involved, Where’s Marcel? offers guests a full sensory coffee drinking experience, from crop to cup.
FRESH AND PREMIUM TASTE
Aside from its distinct Australian coffee drinking culture, Where’ s Marcel? serves unique “Aussie” food menu along with new specialty drinks and and dishes. The menu consists of signature offerings like desserts, pastries, soups, salads, and sandwiches exclusively prepared by Chef Sau del Rosario and Chef Christine Paredes.

The choices will also constantly evolve through its blackboard menu, to elevate both the dine-in and take-away experience. Soon, diners will get to enjoy Seared Tuna Salad Nicoise, Pork, Chicken and Kesong Puti Adobo Sandwich, cold Soba Noodles, Pumpkin Soup with a Twist, and Chorizo Carbonara.

For pastries, there are a lot of sweet indulgences that will pair well with the coffee concoctions, created by Chef Christine Paredes of WICKED.

To provide customers a complete experience when it comes to their brew, Where’s Marcel?’s Brew Bar Menu offers various brewing methods, aside from espresso-based drinks such as Lattes and Cappuccinos. The store will initially be doing Batch Brews before adding the other brewing methods.

Watch out also for a free cupping session happening in the next few weeks, to acquaint customers with the different flavors that can be extracted from coffee, based on how it was prepared. (announcement will be made via Facebook and Instagram).
The brand offers three different coffee blends: Culture (mild roast with a smooth finish), Evolve (dark, richer roast) and Decaf but only Culture is currently available. But when the whole range becomes available, Where’s Marcel? is probably one of the few suppliers for decaf coffee beans in the country.

Being a unique store to Manila, Where’s Marcel? offers an environment that is comfortable for all types of coffee drinkers, a hang-out to unwind between busy work schedules and lifestyles.
Where’s Marcel? opens by March 30 in Pearl Place, Ortigas. Ready your palates for enjoyable sips and bites from this specialty coffee brand, brought in by the Cravings Group.
