The celebration will highlight six main events: The Grand British Buffet at Circles Event Café, a Grand High Tea at Lobby Lounge, a wine dinner created by Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Galmiche, the Seven Senses Whisky Experience at Sage Bespoke Grill Private Dining and the British Pub Nights at Sage Bar.
THE GRAND BRITISH BUFFET
Circles Event Cafe’s open theatre kitchens offer you an international culinary experience right in the heart of Makati City.
From May 23 until 27, 2016, indulge in a Great British Buffet for lunch and dinner, featuring classic British dishes such as Fish and Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, Bubble and Squeak, as well as authentic regional specialties like Yorkshire pudding.
No British meal is complete without beer – so guests may complete the experience with London’s pioneer brew, award-winning Fuller’s Beer.
Lunch buffet from Monday to Friday is at P1,280 nett, dinner buffet from Monday to Thursday is at P2,100 nett and the Friday seafood buffet is at P2,350 nett.
GRAND HIGH TEA
Guests may have a lovely and classic British High Tea experience at the Lobby Lounge with Twinings Tea Ambassador Charles Smith, who will take them back in time to the origins of this most delicious British tradition.
The hotel’s in-house orchestra will serenade guests as they delight in a selection of finger sandwiches, scones and sweet pastries carefully handcrafted by the hotel’s chefs and served fresh daily.
The high tea is priced at P850 nett and available from May 23 to 27, 3 to 6 p.m. only.
THE BEST OF THE BEATLES
In cooperation with Globe Platinum, the 45-piece Manila Symphony Orchestra, together with four up-and-coming artists, will perform the best-loved songs of the iconic British band, The Beatles, on May 26.
During this one-and-a-half-hour concert at the Lobby Lounge, guests will be transported to Abbey Road as the orchestra performs such favorites as Here Comes the Sun, Here, There and Everywhere, Yesterday and Let It Be. Pre-concert cocktails will start at 7 p.m. and the concert start at 8 p.m. Access is priced at P2,600 nett.
SEVEN SENSES WHISKY EXPERIENCE
Guests may immerse in a multisensory experience led by Dalmore Whisky Ambassador Adam Knox at Sage Bespoke Grill Private Dining Room from May 23 to 27, 6 to 10:30 p.m.
Each whisky is paired with a carefully curated six-course menu prepared by Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Galmiche, complemented with sounds supplied by leading high-end audio specialists Bowers & Wilkins and Linn.
Tickets are priced at P5,158 nett.
Diners may prepare their palates to taste Britain through an innovative, delectable six-course menu prepared by multi-award winning Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Galmiche at Sage Bespoke Grill for a limited engagement of four nights from May 24 to 27, 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
A Michelin-starred chef for over 22 years, Daniel Galmiche was formerly the Executive Head Chef at Cliveden, near London, and also in Berkshire, where he gained a Michelin star at Waldo’s restaurant in 2006. Tickets are at P4,790 nett.
BRITISH PUB NIGHTS
Guests can unwind with a British-style Happy Hour, accompanied by beer and gin cocktails featuring London’s pioneer brew, award-winning Fuller’s Beer, and gin cocktails featuring premium brands like Boodles London dry gin, the artisanal Islay label The Botanist Gin and Bulldog Gin.
Tickets are at P1,800 nett and include three drinks and a buffet of charcuterie and British pub food at Sage Bar from 6 to 9 p.m.
