Discovery Suites, the city’s safe haven for 20 years, rises up to the pandemic challenge by being totally committed to safety.
At Challenging Times
Discovery Suites is one of the 33 hotels who were able to extend a home during the recent self-isolation, having been duly inspected and accredited by the Department of Tourism, Bureau of Quarantine and the Department of Health. It was running on high occupancy, continuously extending Service That’s All Heart—a service that is not bounded by convenience, but of the utmost care and concern to its guests, employees, and fellow front liners. The highest level of protocols and standards have been implemented to ensure the safety and protection of its patrons, with round-the-clock assistance at all times. Employees are likewise given maximum importance by providing necessary personal protective equipment, rooms to stay in, full-board meals, and daily vitamins.
Not forgetting its social responsibility, the hotel launched its campaign Food for the Heroes which aims to provide meals for front liners. The initiative started as the hotel sent over packed meals thrice a week to hospitals and uniformed personnel. Later on, it was opened to guests who wish to donate as well.
“Our guests’ safety, as what we always say, is our top priority. It is our business to care, and being able to make sure we provide a home for everyone, brings us great inspiration to continuously strive for the best. This experience truly relives the essence of our mission as part of the hospitality industry and the nation,” says General Manager, Janice Tiambeng.
On Safety Like Home
With its commitment to making its guests safe and protected at all times, Discovery Suites has implemented more extensive sanitation procedures with the launch of its campaign Safe Like Home. Aside from the preventive measures it has practiced since early this year, the new process includes thorough sanitation of the guest rooms and public area with the use of multiple disinfecting agents. The frequency of sanitation of high touch points such as elevator buttons, doorknobs, and surfaces will also be strictly implemented. Contact-less check-in and check-out, food delivery in the room for hotel dining, customer service over the phone, and social distancing will be done to lessen the face-to-face interaction. These are just some of the new normal that guests will experience when staying in at Discovery Suites.
