Diamond Hotel Philippines’ Guest Services Officer Jeric Sayno was recognized as the winner of the Mabuhay Awards’ Rank and File – Front of the House Category during the 22nd Mabuhay Awards with the theme, “Celebrating the Icons of Filipino Hospitality”.
Jeric emerged as champion and bested other competent finalists from different hotels and restaurants. He bagged the award for his role as a Guest Services Officer and Butler of the Diamond Hotel. With only more than a year of experience, he has exemplified excellent service proven by his long list of commendations from hotel guests as well as from VVIPs. Among the highlights of his career is the opportunity to serve the heads of states and dignitaries. He was entrusted to serve as the Butler of President Ollanta Humala of Peru (APEC), Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc of Vietnam (ASEAN Summit), Vietnam Foreign Minister Phạm Bình Minh to name a few. His service to these prominent personalities merited outstanding affirmation and lasting impression.
Moreover, Jeric’s artistic talent greatly contributed to the hotel on top of his duty as a Guest Relations Officer and Butler. He shares his talent in designing welcome arches and lobby displays for the hotel’s major events such as national food festivals, occasions like Halloween, Easter, Valentines, Chinese New Year as well as designing staff uniform and costumes. Known as an environmental advocate, he uses indigenous and local materials such as sinamay, abaca, dried leaves and seeds in creating artworks. He also promotes and shares the Filipino culture, food, places of interest and encourages guests to patronize and discover what the country has to offer.
